When the Greenbrier Classic returns next summer, it will do so in the PGA Tour's previous schedule format.
The Tour unveiled its 47-event schedule for 2016-17 Monday. The Classic, canceled for next week because of massive flooding in White Sulphur Springs and elsewhere, is set for July 3-9.
That's the same week as this year, but other tournaments have been moved back to their 2015 spots.
That means the Classic will follow the Quicken Loans National in the Washington area, a drivable distance to Greenbrier County. The Classic will be two weeks before the British Open, as before.
The Tour and the resort are under contract for the Classic through 2021.
