Touring pro David Bradshaw and Charleston's Will Evans joined three other West Virginians in advancing from the Greenbrier Classic Prequalifier at the Resort at Glade Springs' Cobb Course.
Forty-one players qualified for Monday's open qualifier, also held on the Cobb Course. Bradshaw, a Jefferson County native who plays on the West Coast, shot a 2-under-par 69, tying for ninth. He played in the Classic in 2015, shooting 3 over to miss the cut.
Other qualifiers included Kenneth Hess of Parkersburg (1 over), Davey Jude of Kermit (1 over), Evans (3 over) and Taewan Lee of Morgantown (3 over). Wes Homan of Cincinnati was the medalist, shooting a 6-under 65.
The top four players Monday will fill out the Greenbrier Classic field.

WVU SOCCER: Women's soccer senior defender Kadeisha Buchanan was selected as West Virginia University's nominee for the 2017 NCAA Woman of the Year Award.
The Brampton, Ontario native was the 2016 Missouri Athletic Club Hermann Trophy winner and espnW and TopDrawerSoccer.com's National Player of the Year.
The NCAA Woman of the Year award was established in 1991 and honors graduating female college athletes who's eligibility has been exhausted and who distinguished themselves in academics, athletics, service and leadership throughout their collegiate careers.
The Woman of the Year selection committee will narrow down the finalist list to nine - three from each division - in September. The NCAA Committee on Women's Athletics then chooses a winner out of those nine and announces the winner at the annual award ceremony on Oct. 22 in Indianapolis.

WVU RIFLE: Rising junior Will Anti finished second in the junior men's 50m rifle 3 positions on Tuesday at the USA Shooting National Championships for Rifle/Pistol at the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit in Fort Benning, Georgia.
Anti secured a spot on the United States Junior National team after a final score of 2315. Freshman Noah Barker placed 26th after a two-day score of 2234. Incoming freshman David Koenders finished in 25th place of the men's 50m rifle 3 positions with a score of 1156 in the 2017 International Shooting Sport Federation Junior World Championship Rifle/Pistol on Tuesday.

WVU GYMNASTICS: West Virginia gymnastics closed its 2018 freshman class with the signing of Michelle Waldron. The Massachusetts native was a four-year level-10 gymnast and Junior Olympics National Championships qualifier at Cape Cod Gymnastics Center. In 2016, Waldron finished fifth on vault, 20th on bars and 21st in the all-around at the Junior Olympics National Championships. Waldron shows career-high scores of 9.7 on vault and 37.375 in the all-around. Waldron joins Jessie Bastardi, Sydney Marler and McKenna Linnen in the Mountaineers' 2018 freshman class.
